Lisa Rinna began modeling after graduating high school in 1981. Although she appeared in a music video for John Parr’s “Naughty Naughty” in 1985, it was only in 1987 did Lisa Rinna move to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. After appearing in several TV commercials, Lisa landed her feature debut in the 1988 movie “Captive Rage.” In 1989 to 1990, Rinna had a recurring role in the NBC sitcom “Valerie.” During this time, Lisa also appeared several times on the hit TV show “Baywatch,” while starring in several TV-movies such as “Lies Before Kisses,” “Night Sins,” and “Nick Fury: Agent of Shield.”
In 1993, Lisa Rinna landed her breakthrough role as the police detective-porn star Billie Reed on the long-running soap opera “Days of Our Lives.” During her stay on the show, Lisa appeared in only one project – the 1993 movie “Robot Wars.” Although she left ‘Days of Our Lives’ in 1995, Rinna won “Soap Opera Digest” awards in 1994 and 1995. After leaving the show, she then appeared in several TV shows, including the 1995 TV-movie “Close to Danger,” “Winter Heat,” and “Vanished.”
In 1996, Lisa Rinna won a recurring role in another hit TV Fox show “Melrose Place,” where she portrayed Taylor McBride until 1998. During this time, she graced the cover of Playboy while six-months pregnant. After her pregnancy, Lisa Rinna appeared in numerous TV shows, including the TV-movies “Oh, Baby,” and “Sex, Lies and Obsession.” In 2000, Lisa appeared in the “Another Woman’s Husband,” followed by a starring role in the movie “Good Advice.”
In 2002, Lisa Rinna became a co-host of the soap opera talk show “SoapTalk,” which led to several Daytime Emmy Award nominations. She also hosted Lifetime’s reality series “Merge” in 2003, but came back to acting with a one-episode stint on “Wednesday 9:30 (8:30 Central),” “8 Simple Rules…for Dating My Teenage Daughter” and a recurring role on the UPN series “Veronica Mars” in 2004.
In 2006, Lisa Rinna competed on ABC’s hit dancing reality series “Dancing with the Stars” alongside her dance partner Louis van Amstel. They were the seventh pair to be eliminated during the show’s second season. After leaving the show, Lisa Rinna made a guest appearance on the HBO show “Entourage” in 2007 and in Disney’s “Hannah Montana” in 2008.
Aside from hosting and acting, Lisa Rinna also wears the hat of an entrepreneur. She is the owner of the ‘Belle Gray’ clothing store in San Fernando Valley, Southern California.
